Alex Borkowski

ALEX BORKOWSKI is a writer based in Toronto. A graduate of the MA Aural and Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths college, Borkowski’s thesis looked to écriture feminine and contemporary music to present a formulation of the virtuosic voice as a site of political struggle. Her work has been published by Eastern Bloc, Art Mûr (Montréal), Five Years Gallery (London), The Quietus, this is tomorrow, The Happy Hypocrite, KAPSULA and Prefix Photo, where she currently acts as book reviews editor. Between 2016-2018, she was co-editor of What Fresh Witch Is This?, an online platform for experimental feminist writing. Vital Plastics, a new audio recording of an existing text by Borkowski, was included in SHELL LIKE 3: High On Time The Voice Box Heaved at Artsadmin, London in March 2018.
