Billy Crosby

Billy Crosby (b.1992) Graduated from Royal College of Art in 2024. Previously he was a prize winner at the John Moores Painting Prize 2018

Recognising the influence of contemporary notions of networked viewing and information distribution, Crosby’s work emphasises both the thematic absorption and dispersion of images within Painting. Crosby thinks about Painting as a ‘vibe map’. A non linear constellation of affective retinal objects, reflexively alive in different states, contexts and relations. Resonating, sympathetic and indifferent.

Recent shows include The Fruit is Not There to be Eaten (Art Accent, Busan, South Korea, 2024), Caper, (10 Greatorex Street, London, UK, 2024), This Package Contains the Universe, (Calcio, London, UK, 2023, collaboration with Siân Newlove-Drew), In search of our most precious resource…(Well Projects, Margate, UK, 2022, collaboration with Siân Newlove-Drew)
