As an interdisciplinary research-led artist, Hannan delves deeply into concepts of hybridity, rhythms, and psycho-geography in response to cultural and social migration. Hannan is of Berber Algerian and Welsh ancestry and raised on Binjerup Noongar Boodja in Australia. Practicing at the intersections of sound, sculpture, installation, moving-image, and print. At present, Hannan’s thoughts are guided by writers such as Homi K. Bhabha, Raymond Williams, Stuart Hall, and Assia Djebar.
