Baesianz and Well Projects have commissioned 4 print editions to raise money for 2 UK-based organisations leading solidarity campaigns to support a free Palestine – Palestinian Youth Movement Britain and Palestine Action. All proceeds will be split 50/50 between these organisations.
Solitude is a new print by Gaurab Thakali in a limited edition of 20, signed numbered and dated by the artist.
Gaurab Thakali is an illustrator and artist based in south-east London. He works across multiple disciplines including illustration, screenprint, murals and painting in which he applies a similarly distinct vibrancy to each medium. Raised in Nepal, Thakali’s portfolio features rich cultural references to the scenic mountain-scapes and architecture of his native country. His work is also heavily influenced by music and often transports viewers to scenes of bustling jazz bars and intimate musical performances. Thakali has completed commissions for a number of prestigious editorial clients, brands and record labels including The New York Times, The New Yorker, The Guardian, Barbican Centre, London Borough of Culture Lewisham, Adidas, Nike, Department of Transport UK, Converse and Young.
PYM Britain @pymbritain is part of a transnational, grassroots, and independent movement of Palestinian & Arab youth struggling toward the liberation of their homeland and their people. Palestine Action @palaction engages in direct action campaigns against Israeli weapons factories in Britain, in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Since launching in July 2020, they have cost Israel’s largest arms firm tens of millions in losses.
